An Analysis of Mehmed Zihni Efendi’s (d. 1332/1913) Ijazah and His Ustaz

چکیده
Mehmed Zihni Efendi (ö. 1332/1913) İstanbul’da doğmuş, büyümüş ve orada
 yaşayıp ölmüş, son devir Osmanlı âlimlerinin en meşhurlarından biridir. Aynı
 zamanda devrinin çok eser yazanlarındandır. Efendi’nin, Buhârî Müslim’in
 sahihlerinin basımında büyük hizmetleri olmuştur. Usûl-i Fıkha dair yazdığı gibi
 kaleme aldığı Niʻmet-i İslam adlı ilmihal de faydalı olmuş ilgi görmüştür; hala
 da neşredilmektedir. Arapça öğretimine dâir Türkçe olarak çeşitli eserlerden
 el-Müntehab el-Muktedab, alanında çığır açmış İdâdî Rüşdiye Mekteplerinde
 yıllarca ders kitabı okutulmuşlardır. Belâğat kitaplarında şevâhid olarak
 kullanılan beyitleri harekeli bir şekilde toplayıp açıkladığı el-Kavlü’lceyyid
 eseri ise eşsizdir.

 okuyup icâzet konusunu açıklayan belgeye ulaşamamıştım. Muallim Hacı Zihni
 Efendi’nin mektrûkâtı arasında icâzetnâmesini bulmamla hocasını tesbit etmiş oldum. Bu
 makalede önce icâzetnâmeler hakkında kısa bilgi arz ettikten sonra icâzetnâmesi
 hocası bazı mülâhazalarımı belirttim.
